RAVING REVIEW: Heartwarming doesn’t even begin to describe this film; the interviews in this documentary make you understand and realize precisely what home means!

This documentary spent the last four years traveling the world to find exactly what home means to “you.” One of the most appealing parts of the film was the consistency of the responses to that question. Too often, especially over the last several years, I’ve begun to doubt general human decency; thankfully, this gave back so much of what I’ve lost.

No matter where, the language they speak, or the job they had (or didn’t,) people from around the world regularly answered this question with the same response. It doesn’t matter what your home is but who is around you. This was eye-opening for me; you thought that you would know what someone's response would be based on their surroundings, but from the streets of New York to a tent in the woods, the heart of the answer was the same.

Sometimes a documentary doesn’t have to tell some in-depth life-changing story. It can simply spread a message that will warm hearts and make you realize that if you don’t appreciate your “home” (wherever that may be), you may miss out more than you know. Although every home may not be the best, or even safe, home isn’t necessarily always where you put your head at night.

Never forget the immortal words of Elvis Presley himself “home is where the heart is,” it’s refreshing to see a story that gets to the heart of what we all strive for. Even when we disagree, argue, and take issues with others, we can all remember that, at the core, we look for the same thing in life. We may have our differences, but our needs are the same no matter our situations.

Try always to be that welcoming presence no matter the case; remember, you never know when you may be someone's home!
